Violence Jack OVA Series; Uncut
Behold, Violence Jack! The infamous OVA based on the even more infamous Manga; Violence Jack. Created by the man who is destined to mentioned in the third testament; Go Nagai.
I did my best to “remaster” the video, as the print, whilst being of relatively good quality, is somewhat aged and little bit faded. Thus, I adjusted the colour palette so that it could resemble the original print more. This was done by comparing the video form the Italian DVD with that of production cels and production stills. Additionally, I applied some subtle sharpening filters which makes the image a little bit crisper, it’s vert subtle.
I have kept the AC3 2.0 audio intact and did not re-encode the soundtrack into stereo MP3. This was done at the expens of a more compact file size. The bitrate is also slightly highter than normal as I didn’t want any compression artifacts.
Download the torrent here, and PLEASE help seed.
EDIT:You are more than welcome to make any changes to my sub file, here it is.

Naturally, you can load up my subtitles using such programs as MPC (Media Player Classic) and whatnot.
Video: MPEG4 Video (H264) 720×576 25.00fps 1344Kbps
Audio: Dolby AC3 44100Hz stereo 159Kbps
Subtitles: English (Translated from Italian, which I am told is 90% accurate to the original Japanese)

God bless you!

Thank you sir! I needed a good blessing!
Ah, the torrent isn’t working…
Is everyone having the same problem?
[2008/05/20 - 19:27:33] error: warning: bad data in responsefile
[2008/05/20 - 19:27:33] error: got bad file info – bad bencoded data
Currently there are about 35 seeders and 60 leechers so it seems to be going ok for most people. However, someone told me that they had this problem before too. Where did you download the torrent from? Usually for bad bencoded data errors, it’s best to delete the torrent file from your computer, re-download the torrent and save it to a different location.
The file was downloaded from this site several times and the problem remains. Perhaps it’s the client at fault? My torrent server runs a commandline version of BitTornado, which is probably a bit outdated by now.
Could you tell me what client was used to create the torrent?
Is there a way to make on for realplayer?
Do you want to play it in realplayer or convert it to Realplayer? I’m sorry but I don’t really deal with Realplayer much, I’m sure there are converters out there.
Perhaps this link can help you…

Ah, hope ya don’t mind some constructive criticism…
Pasting the different OVA’s together was a bit of a bad move, as the first one appears to have a different aspect ratio than the latter two, leaving large black borders as part of the video stream.
Also: there appears to be no aspect ratio information in the file. This means there is a bit of effort required to get it to display correctly on widescreen displays or CRT televisions.
So, yar! Hope that helps you in future releases and such!
I don’t mind constructive criticism at all, it’s always appreaciated.
As for the aspect information; noted, you’re right, and I apologoise.
As for the change of ratio’s between episodes, I’m afraid that’s how the DVD presented it. I didn’t actually paste the different OVA’s together nor change the aspect ratios, that’s exactly how the Italian DVD had them, as one long 2 1/2 hour video, in the exact same order as I have shown. I basically did a rip, adjusted some filters and released it as you see, I didn’t mess with aspect rations.
I actually have an HDMI cable connecting my PC to the TV and that’s how I watch all movies, so yes, I know what it’s like to have to adjust the ratio manually. (I just used media player classic to do it by pressing the up and down keys)
Thanks again for your input, I really do appreaciate people who make the time to let me know about the release.
Thanks again!
We love you and your parents who gave birth to you for producing this
Extreeeeme props.
Thank you for your hard work in bringing Violence back in Jack.
Long days and pleasant nights.
Ooh… been looking for a non-dubbed version for a long time. Thanks a lot. I might use your Subs as base for Hebrew subs – You will be credited.

Regarding the Blur, as far as I know, they’re on the Japanese masters themself. Thus, no unblurred edition is avaialble.
As for the sub file, I could get it, but I’m currently overseas for just under a month. In the meantime, check out AniDB. Quite a few people have since subbed this too; and Done a better job!

any way you could send me the subtitles file? i got the torrent and there were no subs but the video worked perfectly
Was it the piratebay one “Violence Jack, Episode 1-3 UNCUT”? If so, I can assure you that the sub files are in there. What player are you using? Additionally, you could use MKV-Demux to extract them if that is what you desire.
Additionally, I should point out that this is an “out-dated” release. BakaBT, currently hosts a superior version with slightly better subs in ass format.
Hope it helps!
